After much thought and deliberation, I am happy to announce that I have re-entered the world of consulting. Having been a computer software consultant on a national scale for close to 25 years I took some time off to develop my home based business(es). While it was an interesting journey, I did realize one thing; that everything I was learning was all about internet marketing. Every piece of building a home based business had something to do with internet marketing.

The bottom line is that I have become so well trained now in this area, almost to the point as if I have been back in college for the past 4 years; and what a lesson it was. I am now shifting gears towards utilizing my experience to help others. Others on a local level.  I have seen that the local business owner is far behind in the skills required to promote their business online. I realize that most can benefit greatly from using the help of an internet marketing consultant. So that is what I am shifting my focus towards.

My new company 505 INTERNET MARKETING (yes that’s 505 for the New Mexico area code and many local businesses here and around the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque areas will hear of us) was created to do just that, help the local business owner get top listings on Google and the other search engines to attract a larger audience to their products or services.  Off and running now …

First an explanation of why to use an outside service and which one. Google is the world’s largest search engine. Google owns YouTube. That makes YouTube the world’s largest search engine for videos. That means you should put your video on YouTube so that it can be found easier. You will get credit from YouTube and move up in their search ranks each time someone views your video on your own website.

Here are the steps on How to put a video on your website:

1. Login to your account on www.youtube.com
2. Upload your video
3. When viewing your video on youtube, on the right hand side, copy the embeded code. You can first click on the small gear icon next to it to change some of the formatting such as size, colors, etc
4. In your wordpress (or website editor of your choice) post, click on the HTML tab and paste the embeded code there.
5. When you switch back to the vidual tab in wordpress it will just show a box with an f (for flash) in the middle. This is correct.
6. Click preview or publish to see the results

Additional Tip: If you want the video to play automatically rather than having someone click on it to view it, then add this syntax at the end of your hyperlink: &autoplay=1

To shut off the autoplay use a zer0 or this code: &autoplay=0

You may have seen a few connections on my home page to sites that pertain to electronic cigarettes. I just had to do that to help whoever may find them because I am so thrilled at the prospect of extending my life through the use of these new devices; and I feel good about helping others do the same thing.

When I received my first order I immediately put the electronic cigarette together and started puffing away. One time I was puffing a real cigarette and almost put that back into my pocket. That certainly would have been an OMG moment!
